TIZIANO BEDETTI (IT)

Aesthetic ideas:
Bedetti is in search of a common, modern and communicative language which is easily understood by public. For Tiziano Bedetti music is emotion, joy, moment of social aggregation, living art. His music goes beyond avant-garde and currents linked up with it. Critics have defined his language “pop classicism” because the author wants to revitalize the traditional classic language by using popular suggestions and common melodies. The author says that it is necessary to recreate a new style by mixing cultural tradition and odern “industrial folklore”. Bedetti utilizes classic forma sonata  and modern pop music (jazz, rock, disco music) and, in this way, he creates a “stylistic melting pot” in which present and past live together. Classicism and “pop” music” became new vibrant ways of life, in direct contact with life.
Together the cantabile melody, the mixture of different cronological and geographic cultures is one of essential component of Bedetti’s musical world.
In fact, Bedetti draws inspiration from American musical,  European opera teather and modern language of many young groups to create a new kind of music: classical and new at the same time.
